Life doesn’t always go as planned. Sometimes, it surprises us, halts our progress, or shifts our perspective in ways that leave us no choice but to adapt and change.

Recently, many experienced this firsthand when the stock market took a nosedive, delivering an unexpected blow to their finances. But financial setbacks are just one of the many ways life can disrupt our carefully laid plans.

Whether it’s our relationships, health, business, or any other aspect of life, the question that often arises is, “What do I do now?”

The truth is, we don’t always have the answer. But I can offer a perspective that might help.

 

Release Control

Sometimes, the best thing we can do for our mental and emotional well-being is to let go of control, at least temporarily. In situations like the current financial climate, there are moments when we simply can’t do much to change the outcome.

 

Be of Service

Instead of trying to control the situation, focus on being of service to others. There may be people around you who are struggling. If you’re in a position to help, whether through offering a hand, providing assistance, or even just giving emotional support, do so.

 

Follow Guidance

Allow yourself to be guided by a higher power—whether you call it God, Source, Universal Energy, Allah, or something else. Listen to your inner wisdom and trust in its direction.

 

Act Now

Take action based on the guidance you receive. This might mean being a supportive parent, performing small acts of kindness like returning a shopping cart, or pursuing a long held dream. Whatever it is, these actions could lead to the answers you’re seeking.

 

Practice Gratitude

Be thankful for what you have in the present moment. Whether it’s your family, friends, home, skills, the ability to read this article, or simply the breath in your lungs, there’s always something to be grateful for. Take a moment each day to write down these blessings.

 

We all have the ability to tap into divine wisdom, and with practice, we can strengthen that connection.

If you feel disconnected from this wisdom now, commit to seeking it daily. Have faith that in time, it will come.
