In the past, I rarely acknowledged my wins, sometimes failing to realize I had even achieved long-term goals. It sounds absurd, like I was asleep at the wheel—and in a way, I was.

The effects on my life were detrimental. I became depressed, unmotivated, and my confidence plummeted. I felt like I had nothing to offer the world, which led me to surrender my power in relationships and believe I had little control in life. This cycle trapped me in a fixed mindset, leaving me feeling helpless and unable to change my circumstances.

For a long time, this depression weighed heavily on me, and I felt stuck—convinced that nothing I did could make a difference.

One of the many gifts PSYCH-K®️ brought into my life was the habit of tracking, recording, and reflecting on my wins. In PSYCH-K®️, one of the steps is celebrating what we call our “balance” (the process of change). If you’re curious about PSYCH-K®️, you can find out more HERE.

I began to incorporate celebration into every area of my life. When I achieved a goal. Yay! I learned something new? Hooray! My favorite kombucha is back in stock at the grocer? Yahoo!

Soon after embracing the practice, my life began to transform. I consciously noticed and celebrated my wins, which led to extraordinary changes—my motivation surged, I achieved goals I once thought were out of reach, and I experienced personal growth at a level I had never imagined.

It was nothing short of miraculous.

I’ve had clients express concerns about celebrating their accomplishments, fearing potential pitfalls such as:

  • Losing humility
  • Seeing the world through rose-colored glasses
  • Misjudging progress and not moving forward
  • Inflating or exaggerating accomplishments

If you tend to think you’re superior to others, be mindful of that. Ego can easily turn a gift like celebrating yourself into a problem.

I, too, have had moments where I got overly excited, got ahead of myself, and drifted into fantasy land. However, using PSYCH-K®️, I’ve adjusted my perspective to ensure I continue moving forward while maintaining integrity and nurturing relationships.

In summary, celebrating your accomplishments has numerous positive effects.

In my blog post titled Rewriting Your Reality: The Impact of Language on Your Life, I shared my friend Jesse’s story.

In times of crisis, she continually recognized and celebrated how God was taking care of her.

Through her praise, she was doing this very process—acknowledging her wins, one small goal at a time, with genuine gratitude.

Her focus on progress was rewarded tenfold.

While she credited God (as do I), her own attention to each win played a crucial role in her continued success.

I’ve seen this make a difference in the lives of my clients as well.

This skill of recognizing and celebrating accomplishments is something we can all develop. By honing this skill, we can move forward, grow our consciousness, and create even more wins in our lives. By embracing this mindset, you set yourself up for a continuous cycle of growth. It’s within us all—it’s within you too.

Celebrate,

Jennifer
