So many times we are faced with new circumstances or conditions and we have to decide how we will move forward. 

Will we choose to move with the change or will we resist it and get caught up in an emotional stalemate with life.

People often resist change for various reasons, reflecting deep-seated psychological, practical, and social reasons. 

Resistance can also stem from previous experiences where change led to unwanted outcomes. In these instances skepticism is a natural response. 

Understanding these dynamics can help in managing and lessening resistance effectively.

Here are some of the other many reasons people avoid change: 

  • Fear of the unknown

  • Bad timing

  • Loss of control

  • Comfort in the current state

  • Concern over others judgement if they fail

  • Practical concerns such as the workload, costs, or needed skills

  • Impact on relationships

     

I challenge you to consider that our beliefs about change create the experience we have in relation to it. 

For example, if you hold a limiting belief such as change is difficult, you might avoid making changes, which can prevent you from creating the life you truly want. 

This kind of thinking might stop you from trying new things or taking important steps toward your goals.

However, if you view change as something that can be easy and enjoyable, you’re more likely to embrace new opportunities and move forward confidently. 

This positive outlook can make it easier to tackle challenges and adjust to new situations, leading to a more fulfilling and adventurous life. 

Believing in positive and manageable change can open up a world of possibilities and help you live in a way that aligns with your aspirations and dreams.

We do have the ability to change our brain, and therefore, our beliefs. This is called neuroplasticity.

Neuroplasticity

Believing change can be easy and even fun can give you freedom and agency in life. 

We can adopt this new belief on a subconscious level where it can impact our life on a daily basis. 

There are several methods we can use to modify our subconscious beliefs. Here are three approaches:

1. Hypnosis – At home, you can try recording affirmations and listen to them as you drift off to sleep. During this time, you enter the Theta brainwave state, which allows these affirmations to seep into your subconscious for a few minutes, just as they would during a hypnosis session.

2. Repetition and Habituation – Repeat or write down affirmations daily until they become embedded in the subconscious.

3. Energy Psychology – This method involves techniques that facilitate super learning, allowing you to quickly take new beliefs or behaviors into your subconscious, similar to how we absorbed experiences as children, but now with intentional choice.

Energy psychology may be unfamiliar to many. I was unaware of it myself until I came across PSYCH-K®️. This approach utilizes the body’s responses to influence subconscious mental patterns.

It’s simple to apply with the help of a trained facilitator and is highly effective.

We all possess the capability to create the changes we desire in our lives, but it requires a conscious decision to progress.

This involves taking responsibility for our creations in life. This doesn’t imply fault, but rather acknowledges our role in shaping our reality.
